Preparation weekend
About one month before travelling to the Middle East, NEM organises a preparation weekend at the beautiful NEM centre in Holland, only 1 hour by train from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. During this weekend:
- team members are introduced to each other
- a taste of Jewish life is experienced through celebration of a shabbath meal
- a taste of Arab hospitality is experienced
- Bible study is given on the subject of reconciliation and Israel
- practical information is given for travel, stay and communication
- introduction to cross cultural communication is given
- guidelines for safety and rules for participation are explained
The cheap flights to Holland by EasyJet, Ryanair or Jet2.com are not included in the price, but the preparation weekend as such is free of charge!
